I called for help at 8:15 AM on a Friday. The AC had failed over night. The Technician responded shortly, (1st surprise being same day) The man (Jim or Jimmy) was polite, courteous and the most professional tech i have come across in along time. It took a while, but his persistence and powers of observation led him to break out he big guns and do an electronic leak check. The answer was not what I wanted to hear, but at least we discovered the WHY, a Condenser leak.
We were left with written options , repair, replace etc. The unit age was not anywhere near the dreaded MUST replacement scenario, so we asked to check on the extended warranty, in hopes of one having been registered on it, no such luck.
I asked for a salesman to assess and give options. (Derrick) He did openly and honestly say, I am not going to guide you into a new unit. This one is still salvageable. (2nd surprise). We discussed all the variables and made our decision and are choosing to replace the unit. Oh did I mention that the salesman was here the same day I asked for pricing (3rd Surprise)
Totally our decision, no pressure, just the facts and options. Exceptional!
